Rinaldo Caro, MD, obtained his medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana and completed his Internal Medicine residency at UMDNJ. He has extensive clinical experience across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency care settings. Dr. Caro currently serves as the Director of the Alzheimer’s Disease Program at MCMCR, where he leads clinical research and patient-centered initiatives. His passion for Alzheimer’s disease—rooted in both personal and professional motivations—drives his commitment to advancing research and improving patient outcomes. Dr. Caro is dedicated to contributing his career toward the ultimate goal of finding a cure for this devastating condition.

Dr. Fernando Melgar received his Medical Doctor degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Honduras and completed his Family Medicine residency at Bella Vista Hospital in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. His early work as a research coordinator in the United States shaped his passion for clinical research and evidence-based practice. He later gained broad experience in both inpatient and outpatient care, serving diverse and medically underserved communities. Dr. Melgar is now fully committed to Alzheimer’s disease research and is driven by a mission to expand access to high-quality, inclusive clinical trials that can meaningfully improve patient outcomes.
